Owl Polymer Cane - How to not mess up! KILL IT WITH FIRE!
Here I am going to tell you what not to do... this was how my Owl cane looked before shrinking, I would of been more than happy with the above picture... OH and on a side note, like my brand new cutting matt? ITS PINK! thanks to selling some crafts I could finally fork out for a semi decent one <3
However this is how it came out. :? Any advice is also welcomed with open arms in the comment section below. However I think it was down to the different consistency of clay as some of my clay colours was harder than others and I reduced it when it was warm too egar! :/
First I will give you steps on how I got to this point, To start off creating the eyes I extruded a circle and wrapped it in black polymer clay. I used two different tones of yellow to add a more detailed effects and a strip of white between.
To make the outsides of the eyes I piled strips of clay ontop of each other and then cut them evenly placing them around the inner eye. I then reduced the cane and cut it in half.
*I AM OWL FACE!*
Use some yellow clay with a lighter colour for the outer areas and wrap a black strip of clay around the outside. Best off using the pasta machine! try grade 6.
Next you want to be getting your extruder tool choose two colours you want together and use the lighter colour on the outside. Then you want to wrap that in a layer of black. You then want to be cutting it in half and place them around the beak make sure you place a black of the inner colour just above this gives a more feathered effect.
Now you will want to get a few strips of yellow clay and place black strips between this will start to form you little owl feets. Next you want to be getting black strips in to fill any gaps then blend two colours (or even 3 depending how daring you are feeling!) together. You are building up the wings here have a lighter colour for the under wing. Make sure you have some clay left for the tail and head!
So once your stick it together it should look a little bit like it dose on the left, Any clay from the wings keep to one side. pick up your owl now and just see if there are any holes at all visible! if there is you need to put some bits of black clay in between.
Put the lighter colour under the owl wings and do you remember the left over clay you had? start make a little blob for the tail as seen to the right. Shape it how you see fit and make sure it has enough clay around it to support it enough to not warp.
This is how it should look once you have put your tail, finished the wings and started working on the head.
I used scrap clay left over from a butterfly pen I made for the background. I used the top of my left over clay for the head and added gold for the tips. All looks good? Great...
WHOA KILL IT!! KILL IT WITH FIRE, BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS!
Oppps. I think another issue here was that the cane is more circular than the one I built... nevermind one for the scrap pile.

Pokemon Mania! - Pok'eball Cane
As promised I said I would make a pok'eball cane so here is a short tutorial mainly via photos!
Make a white sausage and rap some black around it using the paster machine, Pref on grade 9.
You then want to be doing the same with some white clay but this time on grade 2 then do a grade 5 black on top of that.Next you want to make two circle sausage I used my extruder to get perfect circles. Your then chopping them in half.
Good now you have your two half circles you want to get something like a pencil and just push it into the clay like you can see above.
Next use your extruder tool, IF you have one and use the long thin rectangle to create your black lines on your pok'eball, If you do not have an extruder a paster machine would work perfectly fine! Its just more accurate this way.
Check to make sure the holes on your white and black part of your pok'eball fit the middle and still look circular it might take a few fiddles to get it right! Then all you need to do is cut off the excess black and excesstube (Pok'eball button) in the middle.
Last off is the reduction I would recommend putting it in the fridge for half an hour to an hour before starting this (I did not do this because I was being impatient not to mentioned it was 3am) Then you should try reducing it in the middle first. I have found that this stop it warping as much.
So this is what it looks like once I sliced it! I hope you enjoyed this little walk through! If you did do not be scared to check out my shop Here Or if you would like to stalk me some what hit that Like Button On Facebook!

Finished Willy Beads!!
So here they are the beautiful willy beads I was commissioned to do, I made the backs different colours and so that each one could be still unique
To try and held the shape better I would recommend making them slightly larger than you would like, making your bead hole and then slicing them to size.
Very pleased with the outcome here! One happy customer too :)

Pearly Penis Piece (Polymer Cane)
This is a little walkthrough of how I created a penis cane.

So first up I mixed some clay together to try and get the kind of colours I wanted just how you would if you was painting with acrylic paints. I then made basic shapes out of these clays I ensured one side had more lighter colour to be able to make shading effects. I used pearl mixtures on the tip to hopefully give it a slightly more moist looking effect.

I then mixed together white pearl with some good old fashioned bog standard blue, I then used the pasta machine on number 5 to go around the edges ensuring to cut off any excess clay!
So there you have it you just keep going around until you have the shape you wish for, It is much easier if you have a circle or a square..
Then here is the difficult part..
Shrinking it down and sizing
So for shrinking it down.. if you have anything transparent and heavy try sticking it on one side. this helps it prevent it from warping. As soon as you can try to work it in the middle outwards, As you can see in the photo.
Now for the cutting!! The best part! (Which is optional however I am way too impatient to find out if I have messed it up!)
BOOTIFULS What a fine penis! Much more attractive than the real thing don't you think?
Now all you have to do is work across to the ends so that it is all even across. The ends will be warped that is normal so don't worry no scrap clay ever goes to waste! So DO NOT throw it!
